Here at Thirteen Itches, we don’t always write, read, listen and share all the stuff that’s based around pop culture and what you see on the regular stream of blogs. We like to delve deeper into the more serious issues too.

Afghanistan has been in turmoil and war for decades now, and that happens to be the only thing the world talks about, or rather focuses on. This video from Augustin Pictures shows the country in a new light, focusing on its natural beauty, its landscapes and the life that continues beyond what makes headline news. It also shows (especially to me) that if we didn’t concentrate on all the negativity that the media portrays Afghanistan to be, it would actually be a beautiful place to visit. Just look at the expressions on the faces that are shown… it’s almost heartbreaking.
