When you were a kid, what toys did you use to play with? Tamagotchi? Gameboy? Cars? Transformers? Marbles? Whatever it was, in my family, we used to play with LEGO. When I was younger, my siblings and I would build so many houses and buildings with the miniature-sized building blocks. We even built a small town out of LEGO! It was so awesome. Now an exhibition dedicated solely to LEGO bricks is coming to Sydney! My friends went to the Melbourne exhibition and their photos looked pretty damn good!
New York artist Nathan Sawaya most likely also played with LEGO as a kid because he now creates awe-inspiring works out of only toy building bricks – LEGO bricks to be exact. Sawaya’s art tour, titled “The Art of the Brick”, was even hailed as one of CNN’s top 12 must-see exhibitions!
The exhibition opens December 12 and is on until February 5 at Sydney’s Town Hall. Be sure to book your tickets to this one.
