The Roots have always been known for their innovative music as well as their awareness and conscientiousness of the struggles happening in the world, both past and present. What, then, could be more fitting than a visual that includes Civil Rights images of the past and the band in their current element?
The answer is nothing, and The Roots’ new video for their song ‘Ain’t Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me Around’ is just a bonus. The band revamps the Civil Rights anthem for the film “Soundtrack for a Revolution” that focuses on the Civil Rights Movement and the struggle of African Americans searching for equality.
The soundtrack to “Soundtrack for a Revolution” will be available on Valentine’s Day.
