I’ve been hearing murmurs and talk about a collaboration between Nas (personally my numero uno MC) and Damian ‘Junior Gong’ Marly, the most prominent of the marly offspring. Ever since ‘Welcome To Jamroc’ dropped, Damian’s third solo effort in September 05. Finally it has come to fruition with the two MC’s set to release there new album on April 20th (TBC) titled Distant Relatives. From the first official single ‘As we enter’ it is evident that the album has a heavy Afro-reggae/world theme (if I can coin such a term) sound and content wise. Personally I cant wait to hear what else they have to offer on this album and hopefully it is something that will shake us and wake us.
