Hope Is Fading Fast

Who can forget President Obama’s extremely well run campaign for presidency. The logo alone was a stroke of genius and when Shepherd Fairey’s “Hope” image hit the streets, shirts, coffee mugs, mouse pads, badges, just about anything you could see, Obama had more than just a logo and a name to represent his candidacy, he had a powerful piece of propaganda where he himself became the symbol of hope.

Now 2010 and many people are asking “Where is this change that was promised?” and the politically influenced clothing label Freshjive are making a bold statement with a take on the famous, perhaps growing infamous, Hope image. The “Hope is Fading Fast” tee was released on Black Friday (Nov 24th 2009) and is the first Freshjive item releasing without the brand name on it.

With the brands popularity and the questioning young minds of the U.S. (as well as the rest of the world) the tee is sure to instigate some stimulating conversation at the very least.

You can buy the “Hope Is Fading Fast” tee here.

Amazing how this time last year people were wearing pro-obama shirts and now people will be wearing this. I guess too much was expected of him. The same medium that boosted his popularity may be the same medium that brings his popularity down. Or will it???.
