Officially released a few hours ago is another epic/breath taking video from the mighty Deftones. This is the band’s third single off their latest release “Diamond Eyes”. I must say the video fits the song’s tempo and meaning very well. The feel of the video seems like its “Digital Bath” part 2. I can go on and on about how incredible this band is, but I guess that’s for you to find out why. So, I better see you the next time they tour downunder…\m/
…her toes eased in effortlessly whilst it moulded around her heels. The glass slipper fit perfectly, of course. No longer would she slave for her cruel stepmother and her foolish stepsisters. She would marry the prince and live happily ever after.
So the new Adidas campaign ‘If the Shoe Fits, Keep Them’ may not bring you Prince Charming or a shiny castle… However you do get a pair of Adidas Originals for free and for some of you out there that’s definitely something worth dreaming about.
A dolphin caught on a net jumping over a BP oil drum. This is all sorts of wrong, but Banksy yet again hits it where it counts. This accessorised children’s ride (he had another dolphin one circa NY ’08) is actually located at Brighton Pier (BP) in England. For a short video, check it out after the jump.
I recently stumbled across Jesse Boykins III thinking that it was Maxwell with his hair back (shame on me). Jesse is a soul artist hailing from Chicago, later relocating to Miami and now resides in Brooklyn. He’s one of those artists that has not been given enough credit for his efforts. His live performances are just as good as his recorded tracks, and that’s hard to come by these days. On his newest track, Jesse finally decided to take this Andre 3000 track (a track he has been opening with for the past year) with the help of Melo-X and put his twist on it. Peace winter! Bonjour sexy spring! This track is oh so butterrrrrrr….
Everyone knows these tiny blue creations of the cartoonist Peyo. The Smurfs are back and coming to the big screen in 2011, in 3D!
In 1958, the Smurfs started out as a comic strip in Belgium. Then in 1981 it was adapted into a children’s television series by Hanna-Barbera Productions. There are Smurf figurines, albums, DVD releases, video games and of course Smurfs on Ice. The Smurfs is set to be released on August 2010. Neil Patrick Harris is casted in this movie.
Spring arrived in Sydney yesterday and we were given a taste of what’s to come with nice balmy weather as the sun was shining. It’s that time of year where we all come out of our hibernation to get rejuvenated and just around the corner is the Crave Sydney International Food Festival offering 31 days of culinary enlightenment. A unique experience on offer is the Breakfast on the Bridge, which will transform the Sydney Harbour Bridge from the daily grind of hot bitumen and vehicles into an 8 lane wide grass strip spanning the length of the entire bridge. This opportunity is available for 6,000 Sydneysiders so be quick as there are only 3 days left to register for a chance to enjoy a picnic with friends or that special someone amongst a nice mellow atmosphere.
Building on Wes’ post about Kremer’s Journey through Japan vid, this here is another epic example of how tilt shift/time lapse can distort your perception of large and small. A city as dynamic and awesome as Berlin really makes this video come to life. I especially like 2:33 of the video where he captures the guys on the dirt bikes.

There’s something very intimate in the way this video for Glassjaw’s single was shot. It definitely sends shivers down my spine. Or maybe it’s just Daryl Palumbo’s throat wrecking screech that makes watching this worthwhile. Glassjaw is the East Coast’s answer to the Deftones and has been rocking for almost 20 years, albeit more underground. Although this is not everyone’s cup of tea this is definitely right down my alley. \m/
Hobogestapo is “A PHOTOGRAPHY COLLECTIVE DOCUMENTING NIGHTLIFE, MUSIC, FASHION AND CULTURE..AND IN RECENT TIMES..PRODUCING MORE WEIRD, CONCEPTUAL STUFF.” I found their most recent exhibition very intriguing. I know I’ve contradicted myself by posting this collection after posting Olaf Wipperfürth’s and saying that I was over the whole trashbag,’slutty’ aesthetic, but this definitely caught my eye. Being an amateur photographer you learn that overexposing your pics is a ‘mistake’ but that’s not always case. You can definitely get some really nice and interesting minimalist images and you can see that in this collection. Check out more of the collection after the jump and check out Hobogestapo’s site HERE.
I love watching behind the scenes videos of how products are made, especially when its of footwear. You kind of get the idea of why the product is so special – and why it’s so expensive. It highlights the difference between handmade products and mass produced products where the majority of time it’s made in overseas factories. It’s tough walking into a boutique store and picking up a pair of shoes for over $300, but when watching this clip you’ll understand that every piece of the shoe is made from pure quality materials, from premiere shoe makers. The clip above is of Clarks shoemaker Angelo Scuderi, working on the Clarks x Concepts Weaver Boot Collaboration. Concepts is a boutique based in Cambridge, Massachusetts and I must say they’ve chosen a great style to work with. It’s the first time the boot version of the Weaver will be available in the US in over a decade and damn it looks so nice. For more info click HERE
